In the summer of 2001, Kesler Woodward served as Expedition Artist for the 2001 Harriman Expedition Retraced, a 30-day voyage along the coast of Alaska from Prince Rupert, British Columbia to the Bering Strait and the Siberian Coast of Asia.
Organized by the Clark Science Center at Smith College in Massachusetts,
a group of two dozen nationally prominent scientists, writers, and other
experts retraced the route of the last great exploring expedition to Alaska,
the Harriman Alaska Expedition of 1899.
