Although he has lived in Alaska for more than 30 years, Kesler Woodward was born and grew up in South Carolina. Kesler Woodward: North and South, a 2001 exhibition of the artist's work at the Morris Museum of Art in Augusta, Georgia, juxtaposed his paintings of the Far North with images of the Carolinas, Georgia, and Virginia. For a full-color catalog of that exhibition, contact the artist or the Morris Museum of Art.
The following are just a few examples of the artist's Southern images.
