The catalog of an exhibition organized by Kesler Woodward at the University of Alaska in 1995, A Sense of Wonder juxtaposes images of works by many of Alaska's best known contemporary and historical artists with an essay on Alaskan art by Woodward and poetry by Alaskan writer, Peggy Shumaker. Organized as the first major fundraising event for expansion of the University of Alaska Museum, this exhibition and auction included significant works of Alaskan art donated by artists and collectors throughout Alaska and beyond. The contemporary artists who contributed to this event will be invited to participate in one of the first major exhibitions in the Museums's newly expanded space, in 2004.
